CALIFORNIA OPEN CARRY!!! And I don’t mean a can of beer either…

Now we're getting somewhere Perhaps this might be slightly off topic for a site loosely based around all things BO, but the reality is, with so much negative going on in the world, it might be a nice to "report" on something you can actually feel good about. That would be open carry, baby... Done properly, it's completely legal, right here in California... Yipee ki-yay, motherfucker...Who knew???

Despite having a copy of the statutes governing open carry, I still feel the need to talk to someone "in the know" before I saddle up with a G 22 and hit the next protest... LOL, wouldn't that be a scene... Somebody filming me with my own camera as I get hauled away... No thanks. By the same token, it clearly must not be rocket science because if you check the pick there at the top, there's independent Gubernatorial candidate Chelene Nightingale locked arm in arm with a gun toter at the ALIPAC Tea Party in Tuna Harbor Park from this past weekend. How awesome is that??? MMM MMM MMM, Che-lene Night 'n gale, MMM MMM MMM. Damn, she's got my vote

Unfortunately, at one point in the day this pistol packer was right frickin' next to me, and I didn't even see him! Some reporter ... Rest assured, I'm going to be on the lookout for that guy at the next event... I would have LOVED to talk to him this past weekend, but I was so wrapped up in getting the speeches on tape, I didn't really make much of an effort to talk to people in the crowd like I usually do. He would have been the perfect guy to get the 411 from on how to properly don your 'gat as a fashion accessory without getting into trouble.

After reading it a couple times, it sounds like there's only a few places you can't carry your piece in public. As hard as that may be to believe, the pictures tell the whole story because there he his, right there in Tuna Harbor Park, downtown, San Diego...

So whaddaya think? Should my new tag line be, "What's up San Diego, my name's Jay, I'm just I guy with a camera, a microphone, and a .40 caliber Glock 22...
