Operation: Can You Hear Us Now – Hey! NBC… I stopped by yesterday, where were ya?

We at FUBHO.net have been attending Tea Parties and various protests for a few months now, but yesterday we did something a little different... In order to properly celebrate Operation: Can you hear us now?, at NBC in Downtown San Diego, we attempted our first full on "news cast" coverage of the event. After all, somebody had to do it... We were hoping maybe NBC would get the message if we, you know, lead by example? Just a thought [pipe dream]...

Taking part in the rally were a conglomeration of various patriot groups such as San Diego MeetUp Groups Stop Obama Now!We The People, and Santee's East County Tea Party, another Tea Party Group from East County,Tea Party Group from the Murrietta/Orange County area, and last but certainly not least, some bikers from The Infidel Brotherhood and The Sons of Liberty Riders were blasting around on their Harley's with signs on their backs and flags on their bikes... Good times :D Apologies if there were other groups in attendance whom I may have missed...

As usual, the event was peaceful with the possible exception of the occasional drive-by heckler... One guy rode past on a bike, excoriating protesters as he passed, yelling stuff about Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize... Unfortunately we couldn't get him (or ANY of the few other detractors) to stop and talk to us about why they seemed to have a problem with our demonstration. We were dying to get an interview from anyone who represented the "other side"... Sadly[?], they were short in number, and apparently even shorter on thoughts.

One thing I feel the need to comment on which was a cause for concern were reports of competition, and even some bad blood between Tea Party fringeSucksgroups... The competition part I both understand, and wholeheartedly support... The drive to compete, to achieve, to overcome... These are innate to the Conservative American and a primary reason we were able to rise as a Nation to world prominence in such a short period of time. However; that being said, I was informed of some people getting carried away and using their Tea Party pulpits to bash other groups... WHAT??? I was disgusted by the mere thought and would urge any of you, site unseen to immediately separate themselves from ANY Tea Party group that wastes energy going after other groups, for such individuals clearly don't fully grasp what's at stake here and are only out for their own self-aggrandizement. With naked Communists in our government dictating talking points to a supine media, we have much more to worry about than petty differences between quibbling factions. FUBHO.net will be attending, and expanding coverage of Tea Parties and other such events in the future and will endeavor to expose any individuals we find not acting in the best interest of our cause... The restoration of a Constitutional government.

Getting our message out will be a battle and it won't be easy. Not only has the likes of NBC, CBS, ABC and their affiliates decided to "control content", but YouTube continues to scramble videos uploaded to the FUBHO.net YouTube channel... Search it if you like, I refuse to link to it as a matter of principle, but every video I've tried to upload encodes out of sync. Keep in mind I've used identical camera, and encoding parameters for hundreds of music videos and have never had a problem. Blip TV provides us with excellent Flash Players, but unfortunately, no HD. We'll keep working on it...

The Tea Party Express is holding a rally in Tuna Harbor Park, in The Port of San Diego on Tuna Lane next Sunday... Our first little "newscast" seemed to go pretty well and we're confident things will only get better so, we'll be out there again, doing what the media formally known as mainstream won't: covering the news you care about. We, like BHO, are just getting started :D

  1. I was channel surfing the local news last night to see if anyone else reported on this. The CW did a quick blurb about another Tea Party style event held by another group but NOBODY reported on what took place at NBC. The really ridiculous thing was that a couple channels covered some kind of pro-healthcare Union gathering [AFSCME] who looked like they had maybe twenty people together in the same green t-shirts… Oh yeah, somebodies cat got shot with a pellet gun, too…

  2. Total media blackout…go figure!

  3. Actually it was the Santee – East County TEA Party that helped with organizing the protest at NBC Studios!

  4. Lol, thanks Maggie… As “fledgling reporters”, we’ll be relying on you guys to help us keep our facts straight :D

  5. Jay, Great job. I especially like the trumpet fanfares and you got some pretty good remarks from people. The images look great. Those little girls with the signs in front of NBC are wonderful. You have good enunciation and poise. I think it takes some work to be able to make a clip like that. //Roger

  6. Thanks Roger. Like I said in the blog, SOMEBODY has to do it, looks like for now, that somebody will be me :D

Can’t wait for the next one!
