Despite overwhelming public opposition, Obamacare marches on….
Support for Health Care Plan Falls to New Low
Just 38% of voters now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s the lowest level of support measured for the plan in nearly two dozen tracking polls conducted since June.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% now oppose the plan.
Half the survey was conducted before the Senate voted late Saturday to begin debate on its version of the legislation. Support for the plan was slightly lower in the half of the survey conducted after the Senate vote.
This probably would be a more effective statement if I was a septuagenarian or better, but I've never seen an administration like this in all my life. 
Yesterday there was an old John Cusak movie on called Say Anything, and while the plot line had nothing to do politics, the title just keeps hammering away in my mind with how it relates to our current "government". [Hereafter the word "government" will appear in quotations in all my posts until a Constitutional one is restored.] These people simply have to recognize that even in the most liberal of poles, the vast majority of Americans DO NOT WANT "GOVERNMENT" RUN HEAL CARE. To them, it simply does not matter any longer what We The People want.
I'm fairly certain it was MEP for The South East of England Danniel Hannan [probably most famous for his YouTube video for his speech to Gordon Brown, the "Devalued Prime Minister"] who said that in the EU, public opinion has become something to be overcome, not heeded by governing bodies, and warned against allowing it to occur here. That was MAYBE six months ago, if that. I think his warning came a little late.
In keeping with our Say Anything theme for the day, if we shift the discussion to Afghanistan, COSTS are a concern with regard to sending the troops required to get the job done in The Middle East... This is a decision where lives literally hang in the balance, waiting for the Jr. Senator to make up his mind, yet, he has to be careful about spending... HOW DOES THIS THINKING NOT ALSO APPLY TO HEALTH CARE? Especially when it will run up a tab higher than the combined costs of Iraq and Afghanistan put together...
In case you have figured it out, WE The People are the only ones who can save this country... No one that I can see currently in office has the stones to step out and be a REAL leader to unite a serious opposition. This is why it is up to us to be the stewards of our own liberty.

The Government's rationing body, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) said the overall cost was 'simply too high' to justify the 'benefit to patients'.
WHAT makes anyone think that we WON'T be subjected to the same kind of rationing when it comes to "health care reform"??? One need only consider the knee jerk reaction of government on a local level when faced with budget shortfalls... The first things cut are services to THE PEOPLE... Education, fire, police... Always the first things on the chopping block when our illustrious "leaders" have pissed away our tax money on God knows what... These people are living high on the hog off OUR MONEY and it's time to put an end to it. NO health care legislation should be accepted which does not implicitly INCLUDE ALL THE MEMBERS OF OUR GOVERNMENT. The very simply fact THEY are exempt from all this health care nonsense should be enough to set off an alarm in the minds of anyone capable of a little cogent contemplation. If it's so great, WHY don't they have it to?

WASHINGTON (AP) - In a victory for President Barack Obama, the Democratic-controlled House narrowly passed landmark health care legislation Saturday night to expand coverage to tens of millions who lack it and place tough new restrictions on the insurance industry. Republican opposition was nearly unanimous.

Naturally the Fort Hood Shootings is by far the most shocking bit of news to break while I was away from technology, just an utterly appalling occurrence that I'm going to reserve comment on at this time, simply because more information is no doubt forthcoming. I know how and what I think about this entire situation, but will wait until all the facts are in before laying it out. In the meantime, I think it's important to remain focused on health care. With all due respect to the casualties and their families, that piece of human excrement known as Nidal Malik Hasan is paralyzed, on a respirator, and in a coma... In other words, he can't do anymore damage to anyone, ever. The same cannot be said of PELOSICARE:
Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail.
If you didn't take this health care "reform" battle seriously before, don't you think it's about time you did now? The economy continues to tank, unemployment continues to rise, and if it's not fixed by 2013 [the year this legislation we're in such a hurry to pass actually takes hold], if you can't afford health care, you could go to jail... Is this going to be some sort of debtors prison???
