Despite overwhelming public opposition, Obamacare marches on….
Support for Health Care Plan Falls to New Low
Just 38% of voters now favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s the lowest level of support measured for the plan in nearly two dozen tracking polls conducted since June.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 56% now oppose the plan.
Half the survey was conducted before the Senate voted late Saturday to begin debate on its version of the legislation. Support for the plan was slightly lower in the half of the survey conducted after the Senate vote.
This probably would be a more effective statement if I was a septuagenarian or better, but I've never seen an administration like this in all my life. 
Yesterday there was an old John Cusak movie on called Say Anything, and while the plot line had nothing to do politics, the title just keeps hammering away in my mind with how it relates to our current "government". [Hereafter the word "government" will appear in quotations in all my posts until a Constitutional one is restored.] These people simply have to recognize that even in the most liberal of poles, the vast majority of Americans DO NOT WANT "GOVERNMENT" RUN HEAL CARE. To them, it simply does not matter any longer what We The People want.
I'm fairly certain it was MEP for The South East of England Danniel Hannan [probably most famous for his YouTube video for his speech to Gordon Brown, the "Devalued Prime Minister"] who said that in the EU, public opinion has become something to be overcome, not heeded by governing bodies, and warned against allowing it to occur here. That was MAYBE six months ago, if that. I think his warning came a little late.
In keeping with our Say Anything theme for the day, if we shift the discussion to Afghanistan, COSTS are a concern with regard to sending the troops required to get the job done in The Middle East... This is a decision where lives literally hang in the balance, waiting for the Jr. Senator to make up his mind, yet, he has to be careful about spending... HOW DOES THIS THINKING NOT ALSO APPLY TO HEALTH CARE? Especially when it will run up a tab higher than the combined costs of Iraq and Afghanistan put together...
In case you have figured it out, WE The People are the only ones who can save this country... No one that I can see currently in office has the stones to step out and be a REAL leader to unite a serious opposition. This is why it is up to us to be the stewards of our own liberty.

Amnesty: Hurry!!! We simply must give all these CRIMINALS legal status, otherwise who will pick the cotton??? Afghanistan: Ummm... Yeah, I'm getting close to making a decision because you know, we don't want to rush into anything, but hey! How about in the meantime, how about we pose for some pictures so we can show everyone how deeply concerned I am for the welfare of our troops???
Every soldier who dies while Odummy is vacillating, the blood is directly on his hands as far as I'm concerned... Everything is a big ass emergency except the one situation where LIFE ACTUALLY HANGS IN THE BALANCE. This apologetic usurper continues to campaign for the position of WORLD leader, but he ain't doing shit for us here at home. He's in Asia, Hillary is in Europe, Schwarzenegger, the governor of our broke-ass state is in Iraq, Janet Napolitano was just in The United Arab Emirates, giving comfort to Arabs and assuring them there will be no backlash against Muslims because of the "alleged" act of terror perpetrated by Major Hasan on Fort Hood...
I've got news for all these miscreants feeding off my pocket... Muslims aren't the only ones who should be worrying about backlash...

How much more of this are you people going to take? I mean, seriously... Transparency was touted as one of the big "features and benefits" of a Barack Obama presidency... So, WHERE IS IT?
Meanwhile, the boys are still in Afghanistan with their asses hanging in the breeze while Obama goes to China for the next MONTH. You know, he couldn't possibly do two things at once... You know, like make a decision while traveling... Just too much for some folks I guess...

Barry gets irie, forgets all about Afghanistan…
WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal drug agents won't pursue pot-smoking patients or their sanctioned suppliers in states that allow medical marijuana, under new legal guidelines to be issued Monday by the Obama administration.
Look, I think medicinal marijuana should be legal for those who really need it... It's a ridiculous state of affairs when the government will attempt to make illegal the use of a naturally occurring plant such a marijuana, while at the same time making far more dangerous drugs available as long as you have a note from a man in a white coat. It may be accepted practice, but I think we've reached a point in our evolution where we need to start re-examining everything which could be deemed "accepted practice". Sure, this issue needs to be addressed, but the problem here is one of PRIORITIES... I can't fathom piddling around with pot-heads when no decision has yet been made in Afghanistan:
IN Afghanistan they would call it a shura, the traditional tribal way of listening to elders’ views before reaching a consensus. In Washington, where President Barack Obama has now held five war councils, they are starting to call it dithering.
Obama is endangering our troops as it is by not making the decision to either A) Send more troops or, B) Pull them out. Just 
leaving them there to get their asses blown off by IED's is bad enough, but I don't think people fully grasp the magnitude of the display of Obama's weakness from a Middle Eastern perspective...
When I was attending school getting my media degree, I had several classes with a man who, along with his brother, escaped Saddam's army and fled to Turkey, ultimately coming legally to The Unites States. According to my Iraqi friend, Muslim extremists cannot, and will not be subdued unless they're met with overwhelming force. To attempt "diplomacy" of any kind is a display of weakness to them, so imagine what the perception must be when international newspapers are reporting on our president's inability to act on the field of battle. It sickens me.
Call me simplistic [I've been called worse by better than you 
] but given the above information, I get the feeling that if Obama has his way, we'll all just go out and fire up a doobie and forget about all this protesting and war and health care stuff... Just kick back with a fatty and let the government take care of you... That's what Barry would do...
